Dani Alves & Jose Pinto boyband goes horribly wrong

After the world learnt in sheer horror that Zayn Malik was leaving boyband One Direction, many of their fans could be seen with their heads in their hands or crying a waterfall of tears.

There are fears that the boyband will never be the same again. However, rest assured legion of 1D obsessives, a new and upcoming boyband straight from the Camp Nou are making an incredible breakthrough with their new single 'Eres Especial'.

The extroverted Dani Alves has come to Simon Cowell's rescue by trying his hand at a spot of pop singing, dancing and rapping. All for our utmost pleasure and amusement of course.

All for charity

All in aid of charity, the Brazilian defender has teamed up with his former Barcelona colleague Jose Pinto to release a single entitled 'You're Special'.

All proceeds from the single go to a bulimia and anorexia charity called FEACAB so it would seem that Alves has put his 'undeniable' signing, dancing and rapping talents to good use.

With the clip showing both Alves and Pinto clapping, dancing and singing, the song is (apparently) focused on 'inspiring contagious optimism' and should 'motivate people to break down those barriers and feel good with themselves'.

Certainly, it is hard to believe that both Alves and Pinto could have felt too good about themselves when they watch this clip back.

Leo Messi gives his backing

Despite their rather ridiculous dance moves and suspiciously auto-tuned vocals, at least the Barcelona duo can count on the support of their teammate Leo Messi who has posted this message on his Facebook page.

It read: "Great song and video by my friend Pinto, with the collaboration of Dani Alves. I love the positive message. All the best with this charitable project, I encourage you all to get involved!"

Well, if Messi finds the song cool, we have no choice but to agree...

For the pleasure of you eyes AND ears, the music video is embedded below. You've been warned, once you have seen Alves in the video, you'll be unable to look at him in the same way again.
