Arsene Wenger to have showdown talk with first-team player

The future of under-fire Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny is set to be sorted out sooner rather than later, as Arsene Wenger plans to have showdown talks with the Pole at the end of the season. Batches of speculation continue to insist that Petr Cech is the man the Gunners want between the sticks moving forward, and if he is to arrive then either Szczesny or David Ospina will likely leave. The latter of those two only signed last summer and, with Szczesny having struggled so far this campaign, it could be him who gets the dreaded axe. The other major story this morning focuses on the rumours that Wenger has upped his interest in Borussia Dortmund star Marco Reus. The Germany international recently penned a new deal with the Bundesliga giants, but will that stop Arsenal? Not a chance.
