WrestleMania 31 is right around the corner and every fan tuning in has their own predictions in place for the matches taking place at Levi’s Stadium this Sunday.
Some big matches are on the card as Rusev defends his United States Championship against John Cena, The Undertaker returns to take on Bray Wyatt, Triple H and Sting lock horns whilst Roman Reigns is aiming to dethrone The Beast, Brock Lesnar.
We all have our own views on who we think will win, but we put WWE 2K15 to the test to see whether the video game could predict the winners of six WrestleMania matches.
Due to game limitations, not every match could be simulated as it only allows six competitors in a match at once, this means the WWE Tag Team Championship match between Tyson Kidd and Cesaro, The Usos, Los Matadores and The New Day as well as the seven-man Intercontinental Championship ladder match were unable to feature.
The Andre the Giant memorial battle royal was also unable to feature as some of the superstars aren’t in the game, so we opted to stick with the remaining six matches which you can watch in the videos below.
AJ LEE AND PAIGE VS. THE BELLA TWINS
Kicking off with the only divas match taking place on the night, AJ Lee and Paige reached boiling point this past week on Raw whilst The Bella Twins continued to look as strong as ever. The simulation above showed that this match could be better than expected and with the recent ‘Give Divas a Chance’ trending worldwide in recent weeks, the divas could potentially step it up at WrestleMania.
See the video above to watch which team manages to pick up the victory.
RANDY ORTON VS. SETH ROLLINS
All eyes will be on Seth Rollins this Sunday, he has a big match against Randy Orton and there’s the chance he may even decide to cash-in his Money in the Bank briefcase. On paper this should be a great match with two solid competitors and WWE 2K15 also suggested this could be a close match with a good finish.
Watch the video above to see whether The Viper could overcome Seth Rollins.
WWE UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP – RUSEV VS. JOHN CENA
A highly anticipated match on Sunday, a rematch from Fastlane and the two have enjoyed great reactions in the build-up and hopefully they transfer that into the ring on Sunday, especially since the two are set to be given great entrances. Albeit a short match, WWE 2K15 displayed a realistic match which could actually take place at WrestleMania.
Watch the video above to see whether Rusev could retain his United States Championship and his unbeaten run.
THE UNDERTAKER VS. BRAY WYATT
Another match the WWE Universe is looking forward to with The Undertaker returning to take on The New Face of Fear. Again, the feud has been great and the two are set to receive good entrances so let’s hope that shows inside the ring as well. The simulation shows that the match will be a good one, with another good finish.
Watch the video above to see how WWE 2K15 thinks The Undertaker’s return will go down.
TRIPLE H VS. STING
Sting makes his in-ring debut this Sunday and his match against Triple H will go down in the history books. Using the 1999 version of Sting, he went up against Triple H in WWE 2K15 in a match which was pretty even and had a realistic finish, something we may just see this Sunday.
Watch the video above to see how WWE 2K15 think Sting’s first ever match in the WWE will play out.
WWE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP – BROCK LESNAR VS. ROMAN REIGNS
The match everyone is waiting for to see whether Roman Romans can actually slay The Beast at WrestleMania 31 and become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion; but Lesnar signing a deal just makes the match much more unpredictable. Judging by the simulation on WWE 2K15, this will be the longest match out of the six – and possibly the best – with plenty of close calls and an interesting finish.
