Cristiano Ronaldo is better known for his lightning quick step overs, free-kicks and underwear commercials than his sense of humour, but that may have just changed.
Ronaldo the prankster
The Real Madrid winger is currently on international break with the Portuagese national side. The Ballon d'Or holder was in high spirits as he used some of his down time to play a prank on his Portuguese team-mate Ricardo Quaresma. Ronaldo used his own Nike Mercurial Superfly CR7 football boots for inspiration as he wrapped his team-mates car in a layer of silver tin foil.
Ronaldo took to Instagram that afternoon to show off his artwork to the rest of the world. The caption read: 'Did you see what I did to @RicardoQuaresmaOficial's car on @nikefootball’s Snapchat?! Quaresma responded to the prank by posting to Instagram: 'Seriously @cristiano ?! My newly redesigned CR7 #Mercurial car on @nikefootball's snapchat.'
Best of friends
Quaresma and Ronaldo have never hidden their friendship. The pair graduated from Sporting’s academy at the same time, as the club’s two most skilled players of all time. They have both maintained a close friendship despite playing their football in different countries.
Euro 2016 qualification
It is unknown whether Portugal coach Fernando Santos is aware of Ronaldo's prank but surely he will be hoping that no such shenanigans interrupt the performance of the pair on the pitch. Portugal are set to host Serbia in their Euro 2016 qualifier on Sunday night. Ronaldo will once again take centre stage as the Portuguese aim to secure qualification for the European Championship in 2016.
Portugal currently sit second in Group I on six points - just one behind leaders Denmark who have played a game more. Three points in their next fixture would stretch their gap over Serbia to eight points after four matches.
