Juventus star Giorgio Chiellini has insisted that he's a huge fan of Arsenal forward Theo Walcott, claiming that he's terrifying for defenders, reports the Mirror.
The Italian ace, who looks set to feature in his national side's clash with England on Tuesday, has hailed the Gunners' versatile forward.
Walcott, of course, has endured a tricky time of late on the injury scene, but Chiellini is hoping to see him return to his best sooner rather than later.
Speaking to reporters, the Juventus man said: “I am always a fan of Walcott, a quick sprinter and terrifying for defenders. England notice his absence. For the world of football, it is positive that Walcott recuperates totally to his top level.”
Chiellini has also suggested that, despite Tuesday's fixture being a friendly, it could be a tense showdown as The Three Lions may well be on the lookout for revenge after suffering a painful World Cup defeat against them this past summer.
“This is not a friendly match because matches between England and Italy are always of interest to the whole world.
“England have pride and want to avoid defeat even though this is not an official competition.
"The match is not a comfortable one because our victory at the World Cup is still very present in the mind and perhaps their hopes of revenge will make this a very intense match.”
Huge couple of months
For Walcott, it certainly looks set to be a huge couple of months for him as he goes in search of reclaiming a place in the starting XI for both club and country.
Ultimately injury has taken its toll on the forward, but he will no doubt be hoping to prove his credentials in the latter stages of the campaign. Arsenal fans will no doubt be hoping he stays at the club and find his best form once again.
