It has been constantly argued that Radamel Falcao made the wrong decision joining Manchester United last summer, but who else made an error of judgement when they chose their teams?
Loic Remy (QPR - Chelsea)
Injuries permitting, Loic Remy has been a star of the Premier League since his arrival with QPR in 2013. Having scored 20 goals in his 42 Premier League appearances, Remy was always likely to leave QPR last summer and following a failed medical at Liverpool, Chelsea snapped him up for £10.5 million.
At the age of 28, arguably Remy is at the peak of his career, yet has seen his appearances for Chelsea limited due to the form of Diego Costa.
Remy was linked to a whole host of clubs last Summer and his undoubted quality would have seen him achieve far more first team action at any other club in the league.
Should have moved to: Liverpool or Arsenal
Leroy Fer (Norwich - QPR)
Fer's first season in the Premier League was a challenging one. Norwich were relegated after high expectations after the Transfer Window and he seems destined to follow the same fate with QPR.
Fer was a key player coming of the bench for the Netherlands in the World Cup and he was in demand after his first international goal against Chile.
Should have moved to: Anywhere else!
Alex McCarthy (Reading - QPR)
Widely tipped as a future England international, McCarthy had some incredible performances for Reading in the past few years and his move into the Premier League seemed only a matter of time.
McCarthy moved to Rangers seemingly with the belief that he would be able to oust current number one Robert Green. Unfortunately for him, Green has been in terrific form which has seen him gain a recall to the England squad.
Liverpool were in for McCarthy in the Summer with the view that he would provide competition for Simon Mignolet. Had McCarthy chosen Liverpool, he would have had the opportunity to stake his claim in the first team squad after Mignolet was dropped earlier on in the season. Instead he may well be fighting once again for first team football from the Championship next year.
Should have moved to: Liverpool
Marco Van Ginkel (Chelsea - AC Milan on loan)
When Van Ginkel hit the limelight after a breakthrough season at Vitesse Arnhem, his move to Chelsea was fate given the two clubs close connection.
Injuries have hampered Van Ginkel's progress and this has limited his opportunities at first team football therefore a loan move away this season was going to be key for his development.
However his season long loan to AC Milan has not gone to plan and his chances to play have largely come from the bench this season.
Should have moved to: Anywhere he would have got first team football
Angel Di Maria (Real Madrid - Manchester United)
Di Maria was one of the most hotly talked about players last summer after helping Real Madrid win La Decima and getting Argentina to the World Cup Final.
With James Rodriguez arriving at the Bernabeu, his move was necessary and he could have gone anywhere in the world.
Di Maria chose Manchester United and after a promising start to his time there, his performances have suffered and it has been widely reported that Di Maria regrets his decision. With PSG keen to sign him last summer, Di Maria may well have made the wrong decision in which club to join.
Should have moved to: PSG
Ciro Immobile (Torino - Dortmund)
Immobile finished as the Serie A's top goalscorer last season and his move to Dortmund seemed like a good fit given Robert Lewandowski's move to Bayern.
Nobody could have predicted how Dortmund's season has gone but some of the failing has to fail at the Italians feet as he has found it hard to settle in Germany and perhaps staying in Italy where former club Juventus were among his admirers would have been the wiser move.
Should have moved to: Juventus
What do you think? Are there any other players that made a bad move last Summer?
