The Royal Challengers Bangalore will host the Sunrisers Hyderabad in match eight of the Pepsi IPL at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore.
Virat Kohli’s side go into the match up on the back of a convincing win over the IPL 2015 champions the Kolkata Knight Riders, whilst the superstar-studded Hyderabad side suffered a 45-run loss to the Chennai Super Kings in their season opener.
A chance to shine
David Warner’s Hyderabad team have been widely tipped to be the team that comes out on top in this year’s tournament given the talent they have at their disposable; they will see this match as the perfect scenario to justify these claims.
However, Hyderabad’s bowling attack faced a miserable day at the office against Chennai as they could only take one of the Super Kings wickets; they will drastically need to improve ahead of this clash otherwise we could see some run records broken.
The most destructive T20 batsman in the world will be eyeing up another big score on the back of his 96-run innings against Kolkata; he trails Gautam Gambhir by 19 runs in the race for the orange cap.
The Sunrisers will welcome back the return of Dale Steyn to the starting line up, as they prepare to face the likes of Gayle, AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli.
A win for the Royal Challengers will see them claim the top spot in the points table where as Hyderabad can move off the bottom of the table with a victory.
The two sides have played each other four times, with both sides having two wins each to their name; this contest promises to be a game not to be missed.
The match will take place at 14:30 GMT or 8:00 IST.
