Russell Westbrook excels in defeat

We start off in the NBA, where the New York Knicks first big signing may have been revealed. Reports over the weekend linked the Knicks to Greg Monroe, a former 7th overall pick now playing for the Detroit Pistons. Staying in the NBA, Russell Westbrook dropped a career high 54 points on the Indiana Pacers last night. That still wasn't good enough however, as the Thunder ended up losing the game, but it may have given Westbrook's MVP campaign a bit of a boost. Over to the NFL now, where Russell Wilson has revealed he is considering playing baseball alongside his football career. Wilson was quoted at the weekend as saying that he would honestly like to play two sports, but this could just be a bargaining tactic in his contract negotiations with the Seahawks. And finally to baseball, where the Colorado Rockies have placed pitcher John Axford on a family medical emergency list after his son was hospitalized following a bite from a rattlesnake.
