The man known as Gronk, Rob Gronkowski of the New England Patriots has a bit of a reputation for having fun.

Gronk always finds a way to make headlines and cross the borders from being just an NFL player and being a full blown celebrity.

Since the Patriots won the Super Bowl in February, Gronk has made several public appearances which have only helped to increase his reputation.

He appeared at a Boston Bruins game and delivered his trademark spike to the game puck which received a huge reaction from the Boston crowd.

Gronkowski appears to make every show that he's on a lot funnier and now it appears that number 87 could be setting his sights on the WWE.

Gronk has clearly been having some more fun whilst the NFL is in its off-season and has teamed up with NXT superstar Mojo Rawley.

Gronk and Rawley have combined to create a WWE like promo which shows that the star tight-end could have a career in the WWE.

Patriots fans may not have to worry about losing their star receiver to the lure and bright lights of the WWE any time soon, but the video shows some promise.

He may not be trained in the ring but Gronk's mic skills are clearly flawless.

87 in the ring?

After a video like this has been released, the question raises, would the WWE ever consider using Gronkowski in a show?

The WWE have utilised several high profile sports stars in the past, from Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania two weeks ago, to Floyd Mayweather in 2008.

Even Mike Tyson has been involved in the squared circle when he famously knocked out Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania XIV.
