Cesaro and Tyson Kidd continue to impress the WWE fans as the Tag Team Champions and they have plenty of teams gunning for their gold.

The likes of The New Day, The Prime Time Players, Los Matadores and The Ascension are all trying to wrangle the championship from Cesaro and Tyson Kidd but the biggest team, or the one that’s most over as faces are currently out of the title picture.

The Usos have had incredible success as a tag team over the last few years with multiple title reigns and their exciting in ring style has transitioned well into their overall success.

However, we can’t expect The Usos to take on Cesaro and Tyson Kidd any time soon, or any other team for that matter as Jey Uso has been sidelined for around six months due to an injury.

He sustained the injury at WrestleMania 31 in the pre-show tag team championship match, and was therefore unable to compete in the Andre the Giant memorial battle royal which was won by The Big Show.

Now that Jey Uso is recovering and Jimmy Uso will compete on the main roster as a singles superstar, the WWE are looking for a top face tag team to replace The Usos in the title picture. The New Day are faces on paper but they continue to receive negative reactions week after week.

The Prime Time Players reunited recently and they too have struggled to go over and won’t be holding the championships any time soon.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the WWE are turning to The Lucha Dragons to challenge for the titles and will be receiving a big push in the tag team division.

The reason for this is because with Jey Uso out injured, they are another exciting face team that are over with the fans and will be genuine contenders for the titles. Kalisto made his debut on the main roster the night after WrestleMania 31 in an exciting tag team match up where he displayed his exciting in-ring style and showed the main roster fans why he was so loved on NXT and why he’s a big loss to the division also.

Kalisto and Sin Cara might not look like tag team championship contenders on paper, or even in the ring compared to Tyson Kidd and Cesaro, but over on NXT The Lucha Dragons did the impossible when they ended The Ascension’s dominance and defeated them for the NXT Tag Team Championships.

With The Lucha Dragons set for a big push in the tag team division, fans should be excited to see what The Lucha Dragons are capable of.
