Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has inconspicuously conceded the Premier League title ahead of Chelsea's high-profile visit to the Emirates Stadium this weekend after confessing to Blues defender Gary Cahill "you're going to win the league".
The Arsenal midfielder's passing comment came during a St George's Day inspired crossbar challenge event at England Rugby's training centre in Bagshot, which saw the pair of Premier League stars pitted against two rivals from the world of Rugby Union.
Bath's George Ford and Jack Nowell of the Exeter Chiefs were the players picked to take part in the commemorative cross-code drill at Pennyhill Park, which was filmed and uploaded to England Rugby's official Facebook page.
However, despite showing early glimpses of promise all four participants produced pretty disappointing performances during the actual challenge, which required a combination of football and rugby-related skill to have any chance of being successful.
Oxlade-Chamberlain - who claimed he used to play as a scrum-half - impressed Ford and Nowell in the early exchanges, however the same can't be said for Cahill, whose kicking credentials with the rugby ball left a lot to be desired.
Nowell actually hit the crossbar with a nonchalant effort during the warm-up but it was Ford who came closest in the proper competition with a shot that skimmed the frame of the goal.
Fair play to the guys for taking part in the event, though, and not letting their reputations as elite level professional sportsmen get in the way of taking things too seriously - even if Oxlade-Chamberlain's untimely admission ruffled a few feathers.
With ten points currently separating Arsenal from Chelsea at the top of the table the likelihood is that Jose Mourinho's men will lift the domestic crown in May. However, defeat in north London against Arsene Wenger's side on Sunday could set up a very interesting final few games of the season. So, for now, it's all still to play for!
