Arsene Wenger reveals three reasons why he bought Alexis Sanchez

Arsene Wenger has revealed there were three key reasons for signing Alexis Sanchez last summer, stating the Chilean forward's versatility, fighting spirit, and good combination of running and dribbling earned him a £35m move from Barcelona. The 26-year-old has been the Gunners stand-out performer at the Emirates Stadium this term, and was named in the PFA team of the year in recognition of his impressive debut campaign in the Premier League. But despite his fine form, Sanchez was unable to unlock a stubborn Chelsea defence during Sunday's goalless draw with the runaway leaders, which ended Arsenal's late title challenge once and for all this term. Still, Wenger's men look set to secure qualification for the Champions League via a top four finish, and Sanchez could at least finish his first season with some silverware with an FA Cup final to look forward to against Aston Villa at Wembley next month.
