Randy Orton and Roman Reigns to challenge Seth Rollins at Payback

Seth Rollins may only be 24 hours removed from his first ever WWE World Heavyweigth Championship title defense, but he already knows who he will face in his next one.

Tonight's episode of RAW was certainly one to forget for the former Mr Money in the Bank after he had to answer to the questions about his match with Randy Orton last night.

Rollins retained his title against Orton in a cage match at Extreme Rules but with the RKO banned for the match, Rollins made use of the move in order to win.

The fans were clearly unhappy with the decision that stood on Sunday night and even Kane admitted tonight that the move was illegal.

After Rollins and Kane continued to argue amongst themselves, two budding contenders for Rollins' title would soon reveal themselves.

Orton and Roman Reigns both staked a claim to a title match and the Director of aOperations was sympathetic to both causes.

As a result of that, Kane presented the opportunity to pick the main event to the WWE Universe and they pick Rollins to face either Reigns or Orton, or for Rollins to face both Reigns and Orton in a triple threat match.

It was never really in doubt which option the WWE fans would choose and it is now confirmed that there will be a triple threat WWE World Heavyweight Championship match at Payback.

Orton and Reigns were teaming together tonight against Kane and Rollins but how will they act around each other in the coming 20 days before Payback?

The problems between Kane and Rollins will continue and who knows what it will take to get them back on the same page or to finally sever the conection between the two?

A lot can happen in a year

The last 12 months have seen a lot happen to the three men set to compete in the main event at Payback.

Last year at the event, Rollins and Reigns were in action together in what proved to be the final ever match as The Shield and were up again Orton, Batista and Triple H in Evolution's last ever match.

We also can't forget the great match that Reigns and Orton had with each other at Summer Slam and the match that Reigns was supposed to have with Rollins at Night of Champions before being stricken with an injury.
