Old Trafford player career could be over if Mats Hummels joins

Manchester United fans might be looking forward to a summer wherein Mats Hummels finally joins the Old Trafford cause, but it could mean the end of the line for Jonny Evans. Reports this morning speculate that the German international’s arrival would push Evans out of the club, with Louis van Gaal keen to improve his back-line. The Northern Ireland international has been with the club since the days of Sir Alex Ferguson, but it’s said this season may well be his last if someone far more experienced is introduced to the fold. Meanwhile Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has claimed Angel di Maria would belong to the French champions were it not for Financial Fair Play. PSG came close to signing the United winger last summer, but were forced to curb their spending after the £50 million outlay for David Luiz.
