Former World Champion Batista open to part time return?

Former World Champion Batista has recently stated that he would be open to a WWE return if he could negotiate a contract similar to the one that Chris Jericho is currently on.

Jericho's contract stated that he wasn't to appear on WWE TV and was only a part of WWE house shows, meaning that the WWE Universe could still meet The Highlight Reel host but he wasn't forced into WWE story lines on the TV.

Batista said that he would prefer this because he "didn't think the story lines were good anyway" in a recent interview with "Hey U Guys."

He stated that he wouldn't want to be locked into the scripts with WWE and would only be open to a return if this was the offer on the table.

The fans response to Batista when he returned last year was so negative that WWE were forced to turn him heel and even added Daniel Bryan to his WrestleMania 30 match after the reaction he recieved at both the Royal Rumble and during the build up to the match on the Road to WrestleMania.

The former Evolution member hasn't been seen on WWE TV since almost a year ago when The Shield defeated Evolution at Payback in an Elimination match and The Animal decided to quit the company, opening the door for Seth Rollins' heel turn later on the night and for Batista to leave to promote Guardians of the Galaxy.

There is speculation that Drax the Destroyer, Batista's character in the films, could be set to have an entire film made about him as well as Batista being signed up to be a part of Guardians of the Galaxy II.

The Animal also said he thinks that the sequel will break the box office records that Fast and Furious 7 created this past month.

The more successful Batista becomes in Hollywood, the less likely it would be for the superstar to return full time.

He is also a part of the new James Bond film, Spectre, which is set for release next year.
