This week's episode of Monday Night Raw has been completely overshadowed by an innocent comment made by Booker T on commentary.
The WWE Hall of Famer responded to fellow commentator JBL during the Neville v Luke Harper opening round match in the King of the Ring tournament.
Bradshaw said that Neville could be the first high flying King of the Ring because Owen Hart wasn't the same kind of high flyer. Booker T then remarked that Owen Hart "didn't defy gravity."
This comment, although innocent, led to a lot of heat for Booker on Social Media and the former five time champion was forced to publicly apologise.
This should have been the end of it, but now the Hart family have weighted in on the offensive side - Bruce Hart writing the following on his Facebook account:
Neville was a finalist in the King of the Ring tournament and took on fellow countryman Bad News Barrett in the final on Tuesday night exclusively on the WWE Network before Barrett walked away with the cloak and sceptre.
Worthy of a response?
This just seems to be Bruce's way to vent his anger about his brother being brought into WWE discussions 16 years after his death. I feel this has come a little late, Raw aired on Monday and the replay has also aired since then.
No harm was meant from Booker, he was just replying with a fast quip and no one in WWE mentioned it. As soon as he logged into Twitter and realised that his comment had been taken the wrong way he made a public apology.
I think that should be the end of the whole situation. WWE edited the comments out of the replay and they will not air again. Hopefully now Booker has learnt his lesson that comments can be offensive and he needs to be careful when Raw is live.
