Not a week goes by in WWE without something confusing fans or causing controversy. Many stars get injured in WWE, it may be fake but the falls and collisions are not for the most part, and injuries both real and scripted are part and parcel of the WWE.
Daniel Bryan is the star currently in the hearts of minds of WWE fans after he was pulled from WWE's European Tour last month due to injury, but there are other stars such as Alex Riley that have been battling real life injuries as well.
According to reports from NoDQ wrestling, Alex Riley is having surgery on Thursday in an attempt to cure the 'degenerative arthrosis that he's been dealing with in his right knee.
"WWE's website has confirmed that Alex Riley will be having surgery next Thursday but did not give a timetable for his return. They noted that Riley is having a procedure done that will fix the degenerative arthrosis that he's been dealing with in his right knee," NoDQ reported.
"In what could be a storyline injury, they added that the recent attack from NXT Champion Kevin Owens left Riley with a back injury that's keeping him out of action."
The fact that WWE will not commit to a return date for Riley should worry fans of his a little, but Riley's latest tweet will give those fans a sense of assurance, after he stated that he would be back in training just three days after Thursday's surgery.
