Noel Gallagher is known all over the world for his time with Oasis, and with the rising fame of his new project 'Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds', Gallagher is getting back into the headlines "little by little". Right, Oasis pun out the way, let's talk football.

In a recent guest appearance with NBC Sports' 'Men In Blazers' show, the massive Manchester City fan discussed his favourite subject - well, Manchester City.

Gallagher spoke about Argentine striker Sergio Aguero, and Ivory Coast midfielder Yaya Toure, before declaring his love for Spanish maestro David Silva, in the most unusual way possible.

Gallagher said, while talking about Silva, "I'd let him have sex with my wife."

Although there may have been better ways to describe how much he loves Silva, I think it's safe to say that he is quite fond of City's little Spaniard.

The interviewer described Silva as a player you can't help but like, even if you hate the team he plays for. They also suggested that Gallagher should look at Silva's compatriot, and Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata in the same way.

But Gallagher was quick and abrupt in dismissing the comments, saying "No, I look at Juan Mata and think 'f****** t***'"

Gallagher was then asked about what he felt need changing with City over the summer. "Number one, they need to buy four new players," he said.

"Number two, they need to sell four old players. And number three they maybe need to look at a new manager."

The musician picked out Gareth Bale as his ideal target, and would love Pep Guardiola or Carlo Ancelotti to lead his team to Premier League and European glory next season.
