Jose Mourinho has made Premier League striker number one target

There’s been plenty of buzz recently regarding just who Jose Mourinho will sign this summer, and one area he looks set to bolster is his strikeforce. With Didier Drogba’s future uncertain it’s now believed The Special One is to make the signing of Aston Villa forward Christian Benteke a priority, having decided against bringing in Wilfried Bony during the winter transfer window. At 24 Benteke is yet to hit his prime and he’s already impressed in the Premier League, though whether or not he can oust Diego Costa and Loic Remy from their respective positions as Chelsea’s first and second choice strikers, remains to be seen. Away from transfer news Petr Cech has hinted that he’s been unhappy at Stamford Bridge this season, stating he found it tough to get through. The veteran lost his starting place to Thibaut Courtois last summer, and has been widely tipped to find a new club soon.
