Football News

Tonight on RAW was a night of big surprises with several new matches added for Payback which will take place this Sunday.

We now have six matches set for the night with the fatal 4-way for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship set to be the main event.

Randy Orton, Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins will be the four men in the main event with Rollins desperately trying to cling on to his title.

John Cena will take on Rusev in an I Quit match whilst The New Day will defend their tag team championships against Tyson Kidd and Cesaro in a 2-out-of-3 falls match.

Neville will make his PPV main show debut against Bad News Barrett and Sheamus and Dolph Ziggler are once again set to go head to head.

With Payback due for the 17th, we really won;t have to wait long for our next Sunday night entertainment with Michael Cole making a special announcement tonight.

It was revealed tonight that a second PPV for the month of may has been added and it won;t just be a normal show, it will signal the return of the Elimination Chamber.

Elimination Chamber had been the key PPV between the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania for several years but was replaced by Fastlane earlier this year.

Stephanie McMahon revealed that the event was rescheduled due to the fact that certain arenas which hold scoreboards make it impossible to store the structure during the show.

However it was announced that it will be returning as a WWE Network exclusive on May 31st tonight on RAW.

There was no mention of who will compete in the match and what could be on the line in the match?

We could see an Elimination Chamber for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship or to be crowned the new Intercontinental champion?

Need a new champion

Perhaps the biggest shock of the night was the fact that now former Intercontinental Champion Daniel Bryan officially forfeited the title.

Bryan delivered a heartfelt sentiment to the WWE Universe and revealed that his injury time scale is unknown and that his only choice was to forfeit the title.

So the question now becomes, how will the WWE crown a champion? Will they use the Elimination Chamber to put 6 of the best contenders for it in one match?
