Phil Jones discusses fine form of one of his Old Trafford team-mates

David de Gea is the best goalkeeper in world football, according to his Manchester United team-mate Phil Jones. The Red Devils defender heaped praise on the Old Trafford custodian, and claimed his difficult start to life in the Premier League helped get the Spain international to where he is today. Jones' comments come as Louis van Gaal is sweating over whether or not De Gea pens a new deal at the Theatre of Dreams, following frequent speculation he could leave the club this summer, with Real Madrid reportedly interested in acquiring the player's signature. With just over 12 months to run on his existing deal the 24-year-old has a big decision to make, as the club will probably cash-in on his services if he decides against signing an extension to avoid the risk of losing De Gea for nothing next year.
