Last night saw Rusev and John Cena finally end their four month long rivalry fighting over the United States Championship.

The two went head to head at Payback in an I Quit match and despite it ending controversially, Cena left as champion.

Later in the show, Cena would confirm that he still planned to host his weekly United States Championship open challenge on RAW just 24 hours later.

So skip ahead to tonight's RAW and out comes Cena for his challenge and once again, everyone wonders who will come to meet him?

The WWE Universe has seen some big and surprising names match the challenge and tonight, a second NXT superstar rose to the challenge.

Sami Zayn had previously accepted the challenge in his home town of Montreal, Canada and tonight, NXT Champion Kevin Owens came face to face with Cena.

The two didn't actually compete in a match however as Owens simply said anything he could to disrespect Cena, the WWE Universe and the United States Championship.

The two faced off in a very intense segment and it ended with Owens leaving John Cena lying on the ground as the NXT Champion stood over him.

Owens wasn't done there though as Cena was laying on the ground, he placed the US Title next to him and firmly stamped his foot on it.

Owens had one foot on the title, lifted his NXT Championship high and then mocked Cena with his own 'you can't see me' taunt.

This was a memorable RAW debut for Owens and it only got bigger as during a backstage segment, he was seen talking to Triple H.

He would then confirm in an interview that Owens will be at Elimination Chamber and will take on John Cena one-on-one.

There was no mention of the match being a title match but the two are now on a collision course which will surely end in a n epic battle at Elimination Chamber.

First Sami, then John

It is set to be a big two weeks for Owens who will be defending his NXT Championship this Wednesday night at NXT Takeover Unstoppable.

Owens is set for a rematch against the former Champion Sami Zayn who Owens annihilated when the two old friends first met.

What will happen this Wednesday is unknown but Owens vs Zayn is set to be a very physical and a very personal affair in what could be the match that completely changes NXT.
