Never a day goes by in WWE without some kind of controversy or a rumor about a former wrestler returning. And while this story is not about a former WWE star making a sensational return, it is still pretty huge information.
WWE has had to endure several departures in the last couple of years, with CM Punk's acrimonious exit hitting the wrestling company and its universe very hard last year.
Fans to this day still yearn to see the former indie darling back in the ring, but it remains unlikely that Punk will ever return. However, there are plenty of talented wrestlers out there that the WWE have their eyes on, with former TNA champion Samoa Joe being one of them.
Samoa Joe to sign?
Samoa Joe was a hugely popular wrestler in TNA, and should he be given an opportunity by WWE, it's likely that the powerful wrestler would be successful with the wrestling company.
For fans across the WWE Universe hoping to see the star in action for WWE in the near future, Triple H dropped a huge hint when he discussed Joe during today's NXT Takeover media call, according to NoDQ wrestling.
"Triple H mentioned during Tuesday’s NXT Takeover media call that Samoa Joe was at the Performance Center a month or two ago," NoDQ reported on Tuesday. "He said that he only talked to Joe for about five minutes. Triple H would go on to say, “whether or not we do business together, I don’t know.”
Set for an epic debut?
It is reported that Bryan Alvarez mentioned on his radio show on Thursday night that a WWE source told him that a wrestling superstar will be added to the Finn Balor v Tyler Breeze match. Should this happen, one can only think that this spot could be up for grabs for Samoa Joe. We will just have to wait and see on that one.
In the meantime, what do you think WWE fans? Should WWE do all they can to sign Samoa Joe? Let us know in the comments section below.
