Aside from Arsene Wenger there’s few people Arsenal fans will listen to more when it comes to Gunners-related transfer gossip than Thierry Henry. Well, it’s good news as the Highbury legend has reinforced the idea that Wenger wants to sign Liverpool star Raheem Sterling, and backed the move to happen as he’d be happy to see the England international playing for his old club. Sterling is rated at a cool £50m and has been linked with a host of Premier League clubs, but his affiliation to London and the guarantee of first-team football could be enough to draw him to Wenger’s cause. If he doesn’t fancy it then Arsenal might well turn to Barcelona ace Pedro, who word today suggests is available for as little as £7 million. The winger’s contract is up in 2016 and apparently Barca are keen to cash in, which could play into Arsenal’s hands.
