David de Gea’s future in the balance

Published Add your comment

It wouldn’t be a true Manchester United roundup without a story concerning David de Gea’s future potentially lying away from Old Trafford. So far we’ve heard just about all of it when it comes to the speculation suggesting he’s going to join Real Madrid, but the latest is that the Spaniard is torn with regards to making what will be the biggest decision of his career so far. De Gea obviously feels incredible loyalty towards United given that he’s made his name with the club, but there’s sure to be a natural longing for him to return to Spain and join arguably the biggest team in Europe. Whichever team he opts for he’ll be regarded as a hero, but nonetheless it is a huge decision for him to make. Elsewhere Old Trafford legend Paul Scholes has suggested that Louis van Gaal try and buy Petr Cech if De Gea ends up taking his leave. The Chelsea veteran is looking for a new club and has been linked with Arsenal, though United can offer just as much as their north London counterparts.
