Arturo Vidal will complete Arsenal transfer claims Chilean journalist

Arsenal will complete a move for Arturo Vidal after the Copa America according to Chilean journalist Hernan Feler.

The Juventus midfielder has been linked with a move to the Premier League on numerous occasions over the past 12 months, with Manchester United previously keen on securing his services.

However it seems as though Arsenal may be in with a chance of stealing the dynamic midfielder, who has also been linked with a move to Liverpool.

Feler claims that a deal has been completed that will see Vidal join Arsenal after he returns from international duty with Chile this summer. He tweeted: "After the Copa America in Chile, it will be made official the arrival of Arturo Vidal to Arsenal. Everything is closed. He will partner Alexis."

If the news from Feler, who was one of the first to report on Alexis Sanchez's switch from Barcelona last summer, is true then it would be a major boost for the Gunners who have been short of a dynamic midfielder since Alex Song left for Barcelona in 2012.

They can currently call upon Mikel Arteta, Francis Coquelin, Alex Oxade-Chamberlain, Jack Wilshere, Aaron Ramsey and Tomas Rosicky in the middle of the park - and Vidal would undoubtedly be a major upgrade.

Arsenal have spent big in the last two transfer windows to close the gap on their rivals at the top of the Premier League table and it looks as though the tactic has worked as they close in on a third-place finish this season.

Wenger may look to splash the cash this time round as well in order to push for the title next season. Before then however he'll be focussing on Arsenal' last game of the season against West Brom this afternoon.

Do you believe the reports that Vidal will be an Arsenal player next season?
