Jose Mourinho's extraordinary admission about his time behind bars

Published Add your comment

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has opened up on the difficulties he had preparing his old Chelsea side for the 2007 FA Cup final against Manchester United, as he was in jail. Speaking to Gary Lineker about the astonishing revelation The Special One confirmed he had been locked up due to a refusal to let the authorities take his dog, who his vet believed had been flown from Portugal on a private plane without undergoing the rigorous checks needed. Of course Chelsea won that final 1-0 after extra-time courtesy of a Didier Drogba goal, but spending time behind bars probably wasn't meticulous Mourinho’s idea of good planning and prep. Meanwhile Gary Cahill has backed Blues forward Diego Costa to emulate Didier Drogba, following the Spain international’s impressive first season in England. Drogba has confirmed he will be leaving the Bridge for a second time this summer, but Chelsea fans might just find a new hero to celebrate in the form of the consistently clinical Costa.
