Manchester United midfielder Angel di Maria could be tempted by a move to German giants Bayern Munich because of the Pep Guardiola factor, according to the Mirror.
The report claims that Di Maria would be interested in working with the former Barcelona manager, with the same report suggesting that the Bavarians have an interest in the player's signature.
Di Maria, who joined United for a British record fee of £59.7 million in last summer's transfer window, endured a tricky debut campaign on English soil, as he failed to kick on in the second half of the season.
In fact, the Argentine international failed to feature on a regular basis under the Louis van Gaal regime, so it's not entirely surprising that he has been linked away from the Theatre of Dreams in recent time.
It appears, though, that it won't be easy for Bayern to land the ex-Real Madrid man, with French moneybags PSG interested in the midfield ace, while the same report going on to reveal that the Red Devils are hoping to keep hold of their star despite his recent struggles.
It appears, then, that United would only be willing to move Di Maria on if they managed to secure a fee close to the one that brought him to Manchester last year.
One thing's for sure, it looks set to be an interesting summer for Di Maria and Co. in England, with Guardiola seemingly determined to improve the German champions sooner rather than later.
Whatever happens to Di Maria over the coming months, next season looks set to be a huge one for him as he goes about getting his career back on track.
Perhaps, he should give it another go at United. At the end of the day, his first couple of months in Manchester were fantastic, as he scored a couple of wonderful goals and delivered the goods in terms of creating chances for his teammates.
Next season, then, he can start afresh, ready to kick on and prove his credentials on English soil. At 27-years-old, the Argentine should now be entering the prime of his career, so there's no reason why he won't be able to become United's leading man next term.
If he manages to find some confidence and rediscover his best form, then he may well play a leading role in helping Manchester United challenge Premier League champions Chelsea for the title in 2015/16.
