NXT is currently in a state of chaos with the certainty over the NXT Championship being much less certain and several of its top stars currently injured.

NXT Champion Kevin Owens is currently working on the main roster and will begin his own open challenge for the NXT title tomorrow night on Smackdown.

Sami Zayn and Hideo Itami are currently out of action right now due to injuries and neither have really got a return date in view.

The NXT singles division may be struggling right now, but there is one man who has helped to pump some life into it.

Samoa Joe made his first NXT appearance at the recent Takeover Unstoppable WWE Network special and has since made his first appearance on an episode of NXT.

Joe hasn't yet made a competitive appearance on NXT but the two times he has been seen, he has confronted Owens and made a big statement.

The statement as it seems has been bigger than anyone could have expected it to be and the WWE have now rewarded that.

Samoa Joe has now been signed to a full-time contract with the WWE after he has impressed in his first few weeks.

Joe's merchandise has reportedly been selling very well in his short time with the company and he is set to become one of the top stars.

The new contract now means that Joe will compete in his already scheduled indie appearances and then go full time in the WWE.

The question becomes however, what will this mean for Joe's future and his place in the WWE?

Will he continue to star in NXT or will he be moved up to the main roster sooner rather than later?
