Paris Saint-Germain manager Laurent Blanc has spoken out over what he believes to be underhand tactics being used by Barcelona full-back Dani Alves.
Alves has been linked with the French champions, as well as Manchester United, as his contract with Barcelona is set to expire this summer. However, Blanc believes the whole situation has been engineered by the Brazilian in order for him to get a new deal at the Nou Camp.
According to the Daily Mail, Blanc said: "I can say that Dani Alves will not come to PSG. I don't think so. Alves' contract with Barcelona is ending and he wants to renew with them. At the end of the day this is all a game."
Blanc's comments come as Alves has refused to comment on his future until after Saturday's Champions League final, where Barcelona are seeking to complete a treble, amid claims that he feels Barcelona have 'disrespected' him.
With PSG apparently ruling themselves out of signing Alves, Manchester United now appear to be the most likely destination should the defender opt to leave Spain.
However, the ever-eccentric Alves has continued to refuse to answer questions on his future, and despite his significant contribution to Barcelona following his 2008 transfer there is continued speculation that he could now look to move on.
Barcelona are yet to be linked with a possible replacement for him if he should leave, though Jeremy Mathieu or Rafinha are likely to fill in should Luis Enrique seek an internal replacement.
Football fans, do you think Alves is trying to engineer a way to get a new contract from Barcelona? Will he end up leaving the Nou Camp this summer? Let us know in the comments box below.
