Arsene Wenger’s key men targeted by Real Madrid

No sooner had Rafael Benitez been sworn in as Real Madrid’s new manager was he already discussing potential transfer targets with the Los Blancos board. Unfortunately for Arsenal centre-back Laurent Koscielny is reportedly high on his wish-list, with improving the defence something the former Liverpool man seemingly wants to differ from virtually all of his predecessors on. Koscielny is one of Arsene Wenger’s key players so Gunners fans have every right to worry, though it’s as of yet unknown whether or not the France international would reciprocate the interest if given the chance. Elsewhere Southampton star Victor Wanyama has confirmed that it would be nice to join Arsenal, via Kenyan TV. In a statement sure to anger all Saints fans the midfielder revealed an interest in joining Wenger’s fold - controversial to say the least.
