GiveMeSport brings you the top headlines from the WWE Universe today...
WWE Champion Seth Rollins had exciting news for fans regarding a potential direction for his character in the future, hinting at a sensational change of events somewhere down the line.
Elsewhere, there was an update on the injury status of one of the roster's rising stars. And, last but not least, there are rumors circulating about a potential three-way match for the Intercontinental title at Money in the Bank.
We begin with a teaser from current World Champion Seth Rollins. The Superstar might not be everyone’s flavor of the month right now as he continues to ally with The Authority but, speaking in an interview this week, Rollins revealed that he expects he will one day reunite with The Shield.
He didn't put a timeframe on, it but the mere fact he is willing to discuss a reunion with Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose - two of his biggest enemies right now - suggests that the WWE have at least discussed the possibility. The trio were one of the most popular factions in recent WWE memory but seeing them back together long term might have to wait for Rollins to relinquish his title.
Elsewhere, there is news on Sami Zayn’s injury status.
Having undergone surgery to repair a torn rotator cuff in his shoulder, the rising Superstar isn’t expected to return to action until October.
Reports even suggest Zayn might have to head back to NXT when he does comeback rather than have a run on the main roster as had been originally planned.
Having injured himself whilst making his WWE main roster debut it would be a cruel blow if Zayn's injury saw him regress back to the development level.
Money in the Bank
And finally, in the ring, there are rumors circulating concerning the Intercontinental Championship match at the upcoming Money in the Bank pay-per-view.
After recent events on Raw talk inside the WWE suggests that the PPV match will be a triple threat event involving Ryback, Miz and The Big Show.
