We begin in the NFL where the Seattle Seahawks have begun negotiations with one key player over a new long-term deal. NFL Insider Ian Rapoport reported last night that the team is in discussions with linebacker Bobby Wagner, and, with the Pro Bowler heading into the final year of his rookie deal, he is expected to demand a big pay increase. Across to the NBA and, ahead of Game three of the Finals series between the Cavaliers and Golden State, Warriors star Steph Curry has played down his disappointing game two performance. The league MVP has promised his poor shooting night won’t happen again. Meanwhile, in hockey, the Tampa Bay Lightning have edged ahead in the 2015 Stanley Cup Finals. The Lightning defeated the Blackhawks on the road in Chicago 3-2. And finally, the United States Women’s Soccer team got off to a winning start in the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
