Jose Mourinho’s definitive statement on the future of Juan Cuadrado

Juan Cuadrado has been more than just a slight disappointment for Chelsea fans since his January arrival from Fiorentina, prompting speculation that his cameo in the 2014/15 season might be his only offering to English football. Fear not though Chelsea fans as Jose Mourinho has moved to clear up speculation surrounding the Colombia international’s future, insisting that he won’t be sold this summer. The Special One said that he had high hopes over Cuadrado’s ability when it comes to adapting to the Premier League soon, regardless of the fact that he has thus far looked unable to cope with the step up in quality. Meanwhile it’s been purported that Real Madrid wanted Thibaut Courtois as Iker Casillas’ replacement, not Man United’s David de Gea. Rumour has it that Los Blancos approached Chelsea recently with a proposal but were told that only an outrageous bid of £73 million would be accepted.
