WWE: 4 Potential feuds for Seth Rollins

Football News

This Sunday at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view, Seth Rollins defends his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Dean Ambrose in a ladder match which should mark an end to their feud.

The two have been at each other’s throats since Rollins turned on The Shield, and recently reignited the feud when Ambrose chased Rollins and the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

Unless the WWE decides otherwise, the feud between the two should end and the two will move in separate directions. Ambrose is rumoured to be working a programme with Roman Reigns who could turn heel, whilst we have seen recent tensions between Seth Rollins and The Authority.

So where does this leave Rollins? Will he drop the gold to Dean Ambrose? Who will he feud with next? Here are a few opponents I believe would engage in a great feud with Seth Rollins.

This is one of the more obvious names on the list. Reigns and Rollins have had a number of run-ins since The Shield split, but they’ve never really had that full-on feud like Ambrose and Rollins have had.

Roman Reigns is a favourite to win the Money in the Bank briefcase, whilst Seth Rollins will the favourite to retain his WWE World Heavyweight Championship so the two are destined to meet, especially since Rollins stole Reigns’ WrestleMania moment.

Seth Rollins entering a feud with Roman Reigns will be beneficial even if championships and briefcases are not involved. They’re both former tag team champions as part of The Shield and there will still be bad blood between the two and it will help Reigns get over as a face and Rollins will continue to play a brilliant heel, and for Reigns it will be beneficial to work with a great wrestler like Rollins especially since he’s someone he shares chemistry with.

Another obvious name and probably the most likely feud to happen next, Brock Lesnar vs. Seth Rollins. Brock Lesnar is still looking for revenge, watching Seth Rollins steal the title at WrestleMania by cashing the briefcase in before running away the following night when Lesnar wanted his rematch.

Again, a feud here would be massive for Rollins who will continue to go over as a huge heel especially when he’s up against the beast that conquered the streak, he’s done it all so it will definitely be good for Rollins.

The two are rumoured to clash at Battleground with Lesnar set for a return next week, so fans should expect to see the two clash very soon.

Kane and Seth Rollins have never seen eye to eye and we can be sure to see these two go at it soon. Kane helped Rollins become the champion he is today whilst Rollins refuses to admit Kane played a pivotal role in his success, so the tension has been there since day one.

Kane is a veteran who will only help Rollins even if the fans don’t want to see the two go at it. Kane has a chance to become Mr. Money in the Bank and scupper Rollins plans of remaining champion for a long period of time and he’s been a loyal servant to the WWE so he won’t hesitate in elevating Rollins more.

Whether this feud happens remains to be seen, as Kane might remain as an authority figure so his in-ring time might still be limited and there are other attractive options out there to make Rollins look great.

The tension in The Authority is there, we have seen Seth Rollins and Triple H at odds in recent weeks and reports have also suggested the two are set to engage in a feud and this would be huge for Seth Rollins.

Seth Rollins has the ability to be a top face if he does feud with Triple H and The Authority, and a SummerSlam match or even a Survivor Series match is something the fans would love to see.

Triple H can still go in the ring, and Seth Rollins is one of the best. If Rollins is turned on by The Authority and taken out by the likes of Triple H, J&J Security and Kane; then who knows, we might even see The Shield reunite, something that has been heavily rumoured.

Kevin Owens is also on the rise, and it's no secret that Triple H is fond of him too and he will even take over from Rollins as the number one heel in the company, so it does allow Rollins opportunities to turn face once more, but it's clear the opportunities for a number of feuds are there.
