Valencia have signed Benfica forward, Rodrigo Moreno on a four year deal from Benfica, according to reports.
The Spanish forward joined the La Liga side on a season-long loan last year, with Benfica giving Valencia the option to sign him on a permanent basis. Moreno will join Andres Gomes, who has also opted to extend his stay at Nuno Espirito Santo’s team.
Moreno played an integral part in helping Valencia finish fourth in Spain’s top division this year, also expressing his desire and determination to help fire his new club into the Champions League group stages by winning the play-off round.
Following his switch, Moreno said he was very happy in Valencia and was “eager” to improve every day. He also remarked on how he was fortunate enough to play in a prestigious competition like the Champions League for Benfica, and highlighted a desire to do the same with Valencia.
He revealed his target for next season season is to find the back of the net a lot more often, after scoring just four times last term.
