Our main story today comes from the NBA, where Dwyane Wade could potentially be on his way to the Los Angeles Lakers in a shock move.
In other news, the Detroit Lions have landed themselves a new safety, this Detroit Tigers star went off in a thumping win over the Yankees, while David Villa scored twice for New York City FC in front of a watching Andrea Pirlo.
We start off in the NBA, where Dwyane Wade could be on his way out of Miami. Wade has been at the Heat for his entire carer, but according to a report from Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated, there is a real mutual interest between the two parties.
Wade has the right to opt out of his current deal with the Heat and is reportedly open to leaving Miami if the two sides can't agree on a new contract. He is due to make $16.1 million next season and while it is a lot, the Lakers certainly have the cap space to afford the 11-time All-Star.
The 33-year old Wade has spent his entire 12-year career in Miami after being drafted with the 5th pick out of Marquette. The shooting guard averaged 21.5 points, 4.8 assists and 3.5 rebounds in 62 games this season.
If Wade was to join the Lakers he would be teaming up with Kobe Bryant, which would be incredible to watch.
Over to the NFL, where Taylor Mays was out of a job for just 4 days. The safety was released by the Minnesota Vikings last week, but has now been picked up by the Detroit Lions. Mays was a second round pick in 2010.
To baseball now, where J.D Martinez had one hell of an outing on Father's Day. The Detroit Tigers outfielder went off against the New York Yankees, hitting three home runs as the Tigers ran out 12-4 winners at Yankee Stadium.
And finally to MLS, where New York City managed an impressive win in front of a watching Andrea Pirlo. David Villa scored twice for NYC as they beat Toronto 2-0, with reports suggesting that Pirlo agreed a deal to join the team after the game.
