Chelsea fans have got to grips with the fact that John Obi Mikel is likely leaving Stamford Bridge this summer, with reports heavily indicating he’s poised to move to Arab Emirates club Al Ain. Well, those who believe it’s all merely harmless gossip have been left with some fat to chew on this morning, as former Premier League star Asamoah Gyan - now of Al Ain - has welcomed Mikel to his club, implying said deal is done. Gyan told how he had heard Mikel had agreed terms before saying it would be exciting to play with him. It’s not yet known whether Mourinho will sign a replacement if Mikel is moving on, but it could free up room for youngsters such as Ruben Loftus-Cheek. Elsewhere Petr Cech has revealed today that he hasn’t joined Arsenal, despite reports yesterday pointing to the contrary. The veteran stopper was believed to have completed a move to the Gunners, but he played those down by retweeting a statement this morning on Twitter.
