Football News

Earlier this week plenty of rumours were spreading regarding the future of former World Champion, Dolph Ziggler.

It was being reported that Dolph Ziggler had given the WWE five months to give him a decent push before his contract expires in September of this year and if the situation didn’t change, he wouldn’t hesitate in moving on.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter did report that three promotions were interested in him, the likes of Lucha Underground and New Japan Pro Wrestling displayed interest but it has officially been revealed by PWInsider.com that Dolph Ziggler and the WWE came to terms a number of weeks ago.

So he has officially signed a new deal with the WWE which suggests they could have big plans in store for him if he did re-sign with the WWE especially since there was clear interest from other promotions and other options for him.

Ziggler is famous for teasing his social media fan base and even hinted at retirement this week when he posted a picture of his stand-up routine but now WWE fans will have nothing to worry about.

However, some fans may not be too happy with this a new deal won’t necessarily mean Ziggler is catapulted to the top and may still gave to endure some pointless feuds. Along with the fact that potential match-ups on the independent scene would have definitely shown the world what Ziggler is really capable of and why he’s a superstar you definitely need to keep.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter have also reported that the WWE have offered contracts to both Mikey Nicholls and Shane Haste.

The Pro Wrestling NOAH stars are said to have been offered contracts by the WWE at the last training camp they had and a deal is pretty much said to be in place as long as all of the visa paperwork goes through without any problems and the medicals come back clear.

The duo are a very talented and charismatic team who go by the name ‘The Mighty Don’t Kneel’ and will definitely be a huge addition to the tag team scene where they should be starting on NXT. The 29-year-olds from Perth, Australia have competed in a number of promotions to make names for themselves on the independent scene such as World League Wrestling, TNA as well as Ring of Honor.

Another wrestler the WWE have signed is Brazilian superstar Cezar Bononi.

He went by the name V8 Big Block during his time with the Brazilian Wrestling Federation and was one of the many impressive signing the WWE made after they held a training camp back in January.

With plenty of wrestlers being snapped up by the WWE, exciting times are ahead for the WWE with names continuing to jump ship to the WWE and many still yet to make their debuts on NXT.
