He has been regarded as one of the most under used stars on the WWE roster but tonight Cesaro proved his worth.
Cesaro has been in the tag team division for a while now teaming with Tyson Kidd in order to eventually capture the Tag Team Champions.
Missing a partner
Kidd is currently severely injured after suffering the injury during a match with Samoa Joe which wasn't televised.
Everyone has been wondering what they will do with Cesaro now that Kidd is out for the foreseeable future and it appears, they still don't know.
Cesaro answered John Cena's US open challenge on RAW tonight and put in a match which Michael Cole claimed was a contender for match of the year.
The match was the highlight of an otherwise uneventful show and with Kevin Owens on commentary it had an interesting ending.
Owens got involved when it looked like Cesaro was set to win the United States Championship and once again he forced the match to end in a disqualification.
What to do with Cesaro?
Cesaro has been largely stagnant for a long time since splitting from manager Paul Heyman who he linked up with after WrestleMania XXX.
He found his place in a struggling division but now that Kidd is out, the question becomes what will happen with him?
He showed his worth tonight and frankly showed that he does deserve a spot in a top feud despite WWE appearing unwilling to give him one.
The so- called Swiss Superman has entertained fans with his feats of strength and now it is time for the WWE to find a place for him as a singles competitor.
In my opinion, Cesaro carries more potential than some other top stars on the roster and could easily forge a feud with the likes of Randy Orton, Sheamus and even the likes of Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose.
Cesaro carries so much potential that is going to waste right now and he deserves the push that he isn't getting.
The fans showed that he has a place there by their reactions to tonight's match which many claimed on Twitter was the only highlight of the show.
