Petr Cech signed for Arsenal yesterday, bringing an end to one of the worst kept secrets in the world of football.
The goalkeeper had long suggested that he would leave Chelsea this summer and it was also widely believed that he was not willing to relocate his family.
With Arsenal in dire need of a world-class goalkeeper and no other club in London capable of challenging for major honours, a move to the Emirates seemed inevitable.

But Chelsea fans were still left in shock to see their hero in the shirt of their bitter rivals and Cech's Twitter feed was soon filled with vial threats of both harm and ill-wish.
Always ready to activate themselves on social media, one popular Arsenal fan hit back with what appeared to be a quick quiz given to Cech as part of his medical checks.
Of course, the hilarious questions suggest this is not an official club document leaked, but a simple spoof created for the pleasure of Arsenal fans and the displeasure of the boys in blue.
The series of questions appear to ask the Czech Republic international to prove his new-found loyalty to the Gunners at Chelsea's expense.
One question reads: "Are Chelsea's wins since 2003 ethically valid or invalid due to the high level of financial doping at the club?"
Cech answered correctly, according to the mentality of Arsenal fans at least.
Of course, the reality is that Cech will always have a big place in his heart for the Blues and published a long-winded goodbye to the Chelsea faithful.
He said: “It has been an incredible journey with so many highs and not many lows. We have managed to win every single English trophy as well as the Europa League and the biggest of all – the Champions League.
"Looking back at all the achievements, including our first ever league double in 2010, back to back titles in 2005 and 2006, and multiple Premier League and FA Cup wins, I couldn’t be more proud. As a team, we made history together."
Taste of their own medicine
Strangely, Chelsea are only getting a taste of what Arsenal fans had to endure last summer when Cesc Fabregas completed his infamous transfer from Barcelona to the Bridge.
The former Arsenal captain then went on to become the Premier League's leading assist-maker for last season, winning the title and the League Cup in the process.
Arsenal will now be hoping Cech can have a similar impact on their fortunes.
