Jose Mourinho to make a shock decision on the future of a first-team player

For quite a while now it’s looked inevitable that Loic Remy will be leaving Chelsea this summer. The France international is behind Diego Costa in the pecking order, as was made clear last season, and it’s believed the imminent arrival of Radamel Falcao will push him even further down the food chain. Yet shock reports this morning claim Jose Mourinho has made a U-turn and will block the player from leaving Stamford Bridge. The Blues were set to make £15million from Remy’s sale, with the likes of West Ham, Crystal Palace and Swansea City all interested. It appears though that Mourinho values the player more than fans previously assumed. In other news the Special One has now revealed that he supports Roman Abramovich’s decision to allow Petr Cech to join Arsenal. Mourinho was purported to be against the idea of letting the ‘keeper move to a potential title rival, but he’s since stated he understands the transfer.
