This week's episode of NXT promised a lot to the fans in attendance and any watching on the WWE Network as four of the biggest names on the brand were set to collide.
The show saw the return of the NXT Women's Champion Sasha Banks and she returned with a bang, but the main event was the real attraction.
Big name tag team
The main event following the previous weeks events saw Finn Balor team with Samoa Joe to take on NXT Champion Kevin Owens and Rhyno.
The match came after Balor defeated Rhyno last week leading to Owens springing an attack on the #1 contender for the NXT Championship.
Samoa Joe would then come to the aid of Balor and all four would then be placed on a collision course this this week's episode of NXT.
The match would have a historic ending though ahead of the upcoming Network special from Tokyo Japan on Saturday.
The match marked the first time on NXT television that Owens had been pinned and has done wonders to build hype for his clash with Balor in Tokyo.
Balor was the man to get the pin on the current NXT Champion and needless to say, Owens was not happy after the match.
Simply telling his interviewer to get away from him, Owens showed his anger in very few words and now the NXT Universe will have to wait to find out the future of their championship
Big month for Owens
Owens will be part of a headlining match for the network special in Tokyo and many fans believe that he is set to lose the NXT Championship to Balor.
Balor has been destined for the title since his debut and many feel that this Saturday will be his time to dethrone Owens.
Should he lose the NXT Championship however, Owens will turn his focus completely to John Cena and his United States Championship match at Battleground.
Owens is largely expected to win the title at Battleground and all eyes will be on their highly anticipated third clash in two weeks.
