Mark Bosnich has claimed that Manchester United have struck a deal to sign Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin.
The retired goalkeeper, who played for the Red Devils between 1999 and 2001, told talkSPORT on Monday morning that the deal - which will cost United at least £25 million - will go ahead.
“Morgan Schneiderlin is pretty much a done deal,” the 43-year-old Australian told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show. “That will go ahead from what I’ve heard.”

Southampton rejected Manchester United’s £20 million opening offer for France international Schneiderlin last month, but the Red Devils will submit an improved £25 million bid over the forthcoming days.
Louis van Gaal is keen to add the 25-year-old to his ranks before Manchester United fly to America on July 13 for the start of their pre-season tour.
Schneiderlin can replace Carrick
That leaves Van Gaal with one more week to finalise the deal - although Bosnich’s latest comments suggests it won’t be too much longer before the transfer is officially announced.
Schneiderlin is regarded as a potential long-term replacement for Michael Carrick by officials at Old Trafford.
Carrick turns 34 later this month and although he will remain an extremely useful squad player for United over the next couple of seasons, the England international is reaching the stage in his career where his body won’t allow him to play every three or four days.
Manchester United are set to play a lot more games next season, compared to last term, with the club poised to advance to the Champions League group stages provided they progress through the final qualifying round next month.
Man United's version of Nemanja Matic
Schneiderlin could form a potentially effective central midfielder pairing alongside Ander Herrera, who flourished in the final months of last season.
Herrera scored eight goals for the Red Devils in his debut campaign at Old Trafford and would be given more license to roam forward with the defensive-minded Schneiderlin in midfield.
Manchester United coaches will have seen the incredible impact that Nemanja Matic has had at Chelsea since re-joining the Blues in January 2014.
Schneiderlin possesses the intelligence and quality to become United’s version of Matic - and it could be a signing that significantly enhances their chances of winning their first trophy since 2013 next season.
