If you’re one of the many Arsenal fans expecting to see David Ospina leave the club in the coming weeks following the arrival of Petr Cech then prepare to eat your words, or thoughts, something like that. The South American stopper has confirmed that he has no intention of leaving the Gunners and wants to stay and fight for his place in Arsene Wenger’s fold irrespective of the fact he now has two competitors for his position. It’s believed that Ospina will sit down with Arsenal when he eventually returns to north London having been given an extended break after his participation in the Copa America. Those negotiations could well change his optimism. Elsewhere it’s bad news as Barcelona’s Pedro has apparently rejected the chance to join the Gunners. The Spaniard has struggled to get game-time at the Nou Camp lately but isn’t willing to leave the Catalans despite interest from Arsenal.
