Robin van Persie will be unveiled as a Fenerbahce player on Monday after flying to Istanbul a day earlier, bringing an end to his three-year spell with Manchester United.
This is according to Sky Sports, who understand that Fenerbahce will hold a special presentation ceremony for the Dutch striker at the beginning of next week.
Manchester United are expected to confirm the sale of Van Persie by Monday - although it’s possible that an announcement will be made sooner.

Fenerbahce confirmed on Thursday, via Twitter, that they have started negotiations with Manchester United over the transfer of Van Persie - although some reports claim an agreement has already been reached.
Big coup for Fenerbahce
Van Persie will reunite with his former Manchester United teammate Nani, who spent last season on loan with Sporting Lisbon, after Fenerbahce completed a deal to sign the Portuguese winger earlier this week.
Meanwhile, Fenerbahce fans have taken to social media to express their excitement with the Van Persie deal.
The signing is a major coup for the Turkish club who could potentially face Manchester United in the final qualifying round for the Champions League next month.
United fans split by Van Gaal decision
The Red Devils faithful, though, appear to be split down the middle over whether or not Louis van Gaal is making the right decision to sell Van Persie.
Some feel the 31-year-old still has something to offer the Red Devils, while others believe it’s in the club’s best interests to sell the £250,000-a-week striker who hasn’t performed well on a consistent basis since Sir Alex Ferguson left Old Trafford in the summer of 2013.
New striker set to arrive
That Van Gaal is selling Van Persie, has agreed a loan move for Will Keane and rejected the opportunity to sign Radamel Falcao for a second season on loan suggests Manchester United are set to sign at least one new striker this summer.
Fans are hoping it could be Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema, Lyon’s Alexandre Lacazette or even Tottenham’s Harry Kane, but whoever Manchester Untied have in mind he will not be flying to America for the club’s pre-season tour on Monday unless an imminent transfer has somehow been kept under wraps.
It’s now less than a month before United begin their Premier League campaign against Tottenham at Old Trafford - and, as things stand, Van Gaal will only have Wayne Rooney and James Wilson as options at centre-forward, with Javier Hernandez also expected to leave Old Trafford.
