Leeds United boss, Uwe Rosler, faces a tough decision this season with an abundance of striking talent at his disposal.

Numerous options

With no fewer than seven potential players to take his pick from, Rosler will be scratching his head to decide which will be his strongest.

Currently, there is only one player who is pretty much guaranteed to be playing in the first game of the season, that is Italian hitman Mirco Antenucci. The Italian had a great debut season for The Whites and will be looking to build on that during the new season. Antenucci finished the season with an impressive 10 goals.

There will be potential exits from the Leeds squad, with Billy Sharp touted for an exit to former club Sheffield United in a deal that Leeds are believed to want to include winger Jamie Murphy coming the other way.

Second chance

Nicky Ajose, Steve Morison and Souleymane Doukara face important pre seasons to attempt to impress their new boss.

Doukara finished his debut season on a pretty dismal five goals and was accused of lethargic performances by the Leeds faithful.

Ajose spent the majority of last season on loan to Crewe Alexandra, scoring eight goals in 27 appearances. Morison is looking to forge onwards from a semi decent end to last season, with energetic performances which pleased the fans, but his lack of goals were concerning, managing only two goals.

New arrivals

New boys, Chris Wood and Lee Erwin will be looking to get off to great starts to their Leeds careers.

Wood has an abundance of Championship experience and Rosler will be looking to this to fire Leeds to a promotion spot that they are desperately chasing. Lee Erwin will bring some youth and energy to a strike force that was referred to as lethargic and lacklustre by the Leeds faithful, they youngster has already had a vast amount of experience in the Scottish Premiership.

No doubt Rosler will be using the pre season to find out how his array of striking talent perform together as he looks to find his preferred striking partnership before his aides opening Championship match at home to recently relegated Burnley on Saturday August 8.
