Keith 'One Time' Thurman had a successful homecoming this Saturday stopping Luis Collazo in the eighth round at the USF Sundome in Florida.

Thurman Toughs It Out 

The champion defended his WBA title but didn't have it all his own way. The 26 year old rocked his challenger on numerous occasions in the early stages before being winded after Collazo landed a brutal body shot in the fifth round,.

Thurman was clearly hurt but managed to keep away and avoid further damage from the ever advancing 34 year old.

In the seventh the champion cut the New Yorker and Collazo was visibly troubled from it informing his team he couldn't see.

The referee then called a halt to the contest just before the eighth round was due to start.

What Next? 

The performance wasn't spectacular but naturally the champion called out Floyd Mayweather post fight.

Now is definitely the time for the welterweight to step it up in opposition and in a glorious division, the Florida resident has the options of Kell Brook, Shawn Porter, Amir Khan and Timothy Bradley to chose from.

The 26 year old is clearly talented and has the potential to be a future star, still undefeated and hungry now fans will be expecting to see the next gear of 'One Time', in a division full of sharks its time to see if Keith Thurman will sink or swim.
