The player has suffered a noticeable downturn since his second season at the club and this could be due to the lack of support from fans or from his position in the team.
Bale will continue to live in Cristiano Ronaldo's shadow for the next few years at least. At Tottenham, he was given the creative freedom and backing of the manager to create goals. He also had a team completely built around his creative ability.
Bale would be appreciated more in England
At Real Madrid, he is no longer the star man. Perhaps this is part of what has affected his confidence as well, but Gareth Bale doesn't seem like one to be quite too egoistic when it comes to things like that.
Bale is the type of player that should have a team built around his talent. He is definitely too good to play in anyone's shadow and having just turned 26, is now in his peak years.
Bale's talent would perhaps be far more appreciated elsewhere and with news of Premier League sides like Chelsea and Manchester United being interested in signing Bale, maybe it's time he reassesses his relationship with Real Madrid.
