Blues have agreed to let a first-team player go with replacement sorted

Chelsea may have agreed to let Filipe Luis return to Atletico Madrid this summer, but they’re already close to agreeing a deal for his replacement, according to reports. The latest rumours infer that FC Augsburg full-back Abdul Baba Rahman is the man Jose Mourinho wants to fill the void left by Luis, who reports have it pegged has all but completed a switch back to Spain. Rahman is considerably younger than Luis and not so established as the Brazilian was when he moved to Stamford Bridge last summer. Due to this we believe he won’t have such a hard time if he’s forced to play second-fiddle to Cesar Azpilicueta whilst he continues his development. In other news Liverpool could beat the Blues to the capture of Barcelona star Pedro, and they’re willing to use the cash from Raheem Sterling’s sale to do it. Chelsea are said to be interested in the Spaniard, but won’t pay his release clause, whereas Brendan Rodgers will.
